The Woodside Hotel, dating back to 1873, is nestled in the heart of the beautiful Fife village of Aberdour. Perfectly situated, Aberdour sits on the north bank of the Firth of Forth. Aberdour has a fabulous golf course and is home to scenic coastal walks and stunning beaches.
The Woodside Hotel is an excellent base for discovering what Scotland has to offer. We are perfect for a golfing, walking or driving break. Alternatively, you can skip across the Forth to immerse yourself in the rich history of Edinburgh. We have super fast wifi in all our rooms. We have a fully licensed bar. Guests can dine and relax in our historic Clipper restaurant, restored from RMS Orontes. Or, if you prefer a modernist vibe, have a cocktail or an Eden Mill gin in our new Kelso room.
The Woodside hotel is here to host your family celebration be it a birthday, wedding, funeral or private dining. We will be delighted to attend to your needs and personalise your occasion.
Aberdour has two award winning beaches and a vibrant high street. Aberdour’s St Fillan’s church dates back to the 12th century and Aberdour Castle was featured in the popular Outlander series. We are ideally situated for day trips to BT Murrayfield stadium, the Edinburgh Festival and Fringe Festival, the Military Tattoo, the National Museum of Scotland, Royal Yacht Britannia, Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile – all approximately half an hour by train – the journey itself is worth doing for the views.
The hotel suffered serious flood damage due to the storms which affected Fife on the evening of 11 August. As such, we are closed for bookings until the damage to the hotel has been repaired. Apologies, hopefully we’ll be open as soon as possible.
