The Woodside is a special place for us. We live in Aberdour and, like many other people, had our wedding reception at The Woodside. Back in those days, The Woodside was buzzing with activity. We hear so many stories of the old Woodside Palais! Our aim has been to make The Woodside once again the place to come to for both local people and visitors to this fantastic village. We feel we’re getting there.
We’ve made a number of changes so far and have many more planned. We want to keep the heritage of the hotel and the many historic features it has. At the same time, the hotel needs modernised in many respects and we hope you can be patient with us on our journey.
We’re not a corporate hotel chain or even cash rich private individuals.
We’re two local people who have sunk our life savings (and a bit more!) into this venture, simply because we believe that with high quality customer service and facilities The Woodside has a great deal to offer.
This is what we’ve changed since November 2017
· Sealed the roofing areas. Not sexy, but kind of important!
· Installed super-fast Wi-Fi in all rooms and public areas
· Renovated the Clipper restaurant and bar
· Changed the beer supplier to Molson Coors
· Brought in proper coffee, Illy coffee
· Redecorated the reception.
· Redecorated the function room
· Started doing food in the evenings again with a brand new menu
· Put on live gigs
We’ve much more to do. In fact, we’ve only just started. The potential for The Woodside is enormous. What we’re saying to the people of Aberdour is this venue is for you.
For your family events, we’ve a gorgeous new function room, with PA hire for free.
For a smaller celebration or private dining, take over our historic Clipper restaurant. We’ll work with you to make your event personal, unique and memorable.
If you want a drink or a meal, drop in, you’ll find a great deal has changed.
